DC Inverter motor is Daikin’s term for an inverter air conditioner equipped with a DC motor. These motors use magnets to generate rotation, making them more efficient than AC motors. Our advanced DC motors for compressors are fitted with powerful neodymium magnets to achieve even greater efficiency. We call these devices Reluctance DC motors.

PAM stands for pulse amplitude modulation, a technology that controls the supply current waveform so that it resembles the supply voltage wave, this enables more efficient use of electricity.

When the air conditioner is not in use, the Standby Power Function turns off power supply to the outdoor unit and sets the indoor unit into standby energy saving mode, reducing energy consumption.

Sound levels are reduced by 2-3 decibels (dBA) from the low fan speed for quieter heating and cooling.

Outdoor unit sound levels can be reduced by 3 decibels (dBA) for times when quieter operation is needed.

This is an infrared motion sensor with the ability to sense movement in the room. When you are in the room, the air conditioner operates normally. If no activity is detected in a room for more than 20 minutes the air conditioner automatically changes to an energy saving operation..

The 2-Area Intelligent eye either directs airflow towards you (Alira & Cora Only) or away from you for draught free comfort or when both areas are occupied, automatically activate comfort airflow mode to maintain conditions in both areas. If the room is unoccupied for 20 minutes, the unit automatically goes into energy saving operations.

The timer can be preset to start and stop the air conditioner at any time within a 24 hour period. Once the times are set, the air conditioner can be operated for a period by simply pressing the on or off timer buttons.
