Victorian residents are eligible to receive a $1,000 rebate upgrade with an energy efficient Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner under Solar Victoria’s Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades program.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M ELIGIBLE?
The rebate is available to Victorian residents only and households must confirm they are eligible before purchasing a Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner. Rebates will not be paid retrospectively.
A household that has an annual combined income of less than $90,000; or a household where at least one person (being the owner of the Property or a tenant of the Property) holds a means-tested concession card can apply for the rebate.
Select and contact an approved Supplier under from the Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades Supplier Panel to arrange a property assessment and quotation.
Organise and undertake the Installation
If the solution includes an eligible Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner under the program, work with your approved Supplier to plan a day and time for the installation for your new Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner.
Households must prove that they are eligible under this program with a Rebate Token before purchasing a Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner.
Rental properties are eligible under this program. Landlords may apply to upgrade heaters in their rental property to benefit low income renters. Renters will be encouraged to work with their landlords to upgrade heating and cooling on the property.
Reverse cycle air conditioners can only be installed by an approved Supplier under the program, and must be licensed by Energy Safe Victoria and the Victorian Building Authority where relevant.
The Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades program for Victorians will provide 250,000 rebates over 4 years to help households install energy efficient electric reverse cycle air conditioners to replace their old gas, electric and wood-fire heater or where there is no heating system.
